Naked woman cup sitting (1950). Ceramic cup made by Edouard Cazaux in the 1950s (Art Deco period). Gray and gold green enamelled decor depicting a naked woman sitting. Height: 4 cm / diameter: 15.5 x 18 cm. Unique piece signed on the reverse capped \In perfect state of conservation, no crack on the body nor dégrenures (see photos). He devoted himself to the mythological or the very colorful past with the scenes of Bacchanalia, the sirens, the centaurs, Venus at his toilet, the flute players. He also draws his inspiration from Persian ceramics with gazelles, horses or even wonderful birds.

He exploits the traditional popular themes of his region with Basque festivals, fandango dancers, colorful subjects expressing joy and lust. He is also interested in the Far East, but also in Negro art as well as popular utility ceramics. The Christian references and the gold background, symbol of the divine, intervene throughout his life.
