Representing a seated female nude - Naked woman sitting on a chair. Signed lower right Thérèse Barthelemy Rouyer (active early 20th century). Painter and watercolorist born in Bar le Duc, she was a student of Mlles Stella-Samson and Zabeth and then of Victor PROUVÉ at the Beaux Arts de Nancy. She belonged to the Union of Women Painters and Sculptors. She exhibited at the Salon de Paris: Le coin de table in 1934 and La chèvre blanche in 1936. Origin: FRANCE - school of Nancy (Lorraine).

The style is reminiscent of André Lothe. Very beautiful realization and technique. Supplier label on the back: Van Eyck panel - wood fibers. Artist's name reminder on the back of the panel. Please note: traces of handling and wear.

Small defect to report at the bottom right corner of the panel next to the signature. Traces on the edges due to an old frame, otherwise nothing significant. Please look carefully at the photos in the ad.
