A Belgian school, the son of a Belgian mother and a French father, he acquired Belgian citizenship in 1894.

A curious and cultured man, with his experience and his open-mindedness that give him his travels, notably in Norway in 1898, the work of albert pinot offers a wide range of subjects; it sometimes represents themes of portraits, landscapes, still lifes, bouquets of flowers, seaside or interior. A founding member of the artistic circle \"the furrow\", albert pinot is close to other artists with whom he participates in exhibitions, such as his friend alfred bastien famous landscape painter.
