He began exhibiting in 1904. He won a grand gold medal at the 1937 World Expo. In 1937, he became a professor at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. He is represented in numerous museums (Paris, New York, Moscow, Tokyo).

Charles Picart Le Doux also illustrated works by Albert Samain (Hyalis), Charles Vildrac (Livre d'amour), Georges Duhamel, Jules Romains, and Pierre Mac Orlan. Signed at the bottom left and dated 1929.
