A pupil of Eugène Carrière and Alfred Roll in Lyon. He was elected at the Salon of French Artists in 1897. Member of the Société des artistes français.He also exhibited at the Salon of French Artists. Jury member in 1909 after receiving a bronze medal at the 1900 Exposition Universelle. He also participated in collective exhibitions in Marseille (1928), New York (1929), and Tokyo (1934). In 1901, he received a commission following a competition for a series of paintings, including the ceiling of the reception hall of the town hall of Asnières. He passed away in Paris in 1945.
