Rare Vintage Art-deco Ball Gown 1925 Charleston Peacock Beaded Decor

  

In tulle and jet beads decorated with "peacock feathers". Exceptional 1925 Charleston style art-deco ball gown made of black tulle with black jet blue and blue jade decor on the theme of peacock feathers.

It is intended to be worn on a plain sheath of suitable length, not supplied with the dress. This decor is sumptuous, very stylized composition and totally art-deco. The tulle is fully embroidered, at the front and back of jet pearl lines of this very deep shiny black color and the eyes of the feathers are made with flat blue jade pearls.

The dress is trapezoid, with two points, one in front and the other behind. It is held by two beaded straps.

Both sides are split as far as the chest and two lengths of tulle are used to connect the two sides by a vaporous node. Aesthetically, it's a total success! The following measures are all taken flat; example: the height of the shoulder straps measures 16 cm flat, which means that the length of the shoulder strap is 32 cm (front + rear).

Height of the dress from the neckline to the bottom of the point: 97 cm. Width of the neckline between the straps: 24 cm.

Total flat width of the neckline: 43 cm. Width flat between the sections to tie (under chest): 42 cm.

Width at the bottom of the dress (at the widest): 60 cm. This dress is in very good condition. It has obviously been very little (or not at all) used. Not a hole in the tulle and no lack in the pearls.

Just to note two tiny ruptures of the edge of the neckline, to be reinforced by a small stitch. Weight: about 360 grams, without the packaging. Exceptional hi-hat dress in perfect condition.
